Located on homonymus district, a scenic cobbled ladder leading to the church of SS. Salvatore, built on top of a rock from which you can admire a beautiful view of Nicosia and the central Sicily; it was built around 1100 and collapsed in 1607, he was immediately rebuilt.
The old building is the thirteenth-century tower with overhanging shelves, whose upper floor (which contains the bells) was added in 1609 and, to the west, the four-arched portico with paired columns (some in 1300 and others in 1600).
On the outside wall of the church there are two sundials and the calendar of swallows carved on different stones.
Through two to one ray portals, closed by a frame resting on plinths, leads all`interno the church where, among the works of art preserved, we include:
- a baptismal font dated 1617
- a painting of Our Lady of Consolation of from Nicosia A. Cardella (1648);
- a wooden statue of Christ ascending into heaven work of Gangitano Quattrocchi;
- the chapel of St. Rita, closed by a loggia of Renaissance inspiration;
- and a picture of Liborio Bishop (dated 1798);
