Annexed to the great convent of the Capuchin friars (they built in 1604), the church is dedicated to St. Mary of the Angels, and preserves d`arte treasures of great value, including:
- a tabernacle in inlaid wood with mother of pearl (attributed to P. Bencivinni);
- Lucia and St. Barbara (paintings by G. Gangitano Vazzano)
- Deposition from the Cross (painting by N. Mirabella - 1600)
- Death of St. Francis (painting by N. Mirabella - 1614)
- two paintings by Father Bonaventura of Nicosia;
- some missals Franciscans in 1600 and 1700;
- two statues-model Quattrocchi (Nicholas and risen Christ)
In front of the aforementioned church, it stands the rock of San Cono (or Sant`Iconio) along the sides of which there are many ingrottati plant and different size, with adjoining an ancient church; planimetric structure of the complex is such as to suggest a hermit settlement: in fact the place, surrounded by wooded hills, was originally far from the settlement of Nicosia.
The cliff is named after the namesake church enclosed in the broader area of the complex: the remains dell`abside dell`unico still visible altar, we see a fresco (largely deteriorated) depicting a Madonna and Child (photo by F. Costa) .
